| When the Campbell/Plott Family first purchased the tract of land which is now Crockett's Meadow over 100 years ago life was very different. It took a special breed of folks to make these mountains home and they were rewarded with abundant natural beauty. Today we have more time to enjoy our surrounding without the hardships of generations past. Embodying both the spirit of the mountains and carefree mountain living, we offer you, Crockett's Meadow in Maggie Valley. To the right is a log cabin built by Amos Plott in the 1800's. Amos was the Grandfather of Davey Crockett Campbell for which the Meadow is named. The silo near the entrance still bares the initials "DCC".
